Like many of you, I am not fond of labels, tags, or media inspired stereotypes. If you need to attach a label, so that your need for definition is sated, then so be it. I will go as far as giving you a list of personal traits and feelings, as to make the task even easier for you.

* I do not claim to be a "goth", riverhead, punk, cyber-goth, raver, thrasher, or even cool for that matter.  If you feel that one of those tags fits, so be it.  I'm sure I've been called worse.

* I don't hate my life, God, my parents, my career, or those that do hate those things.  I am not bitter, apathetic, or bored with life.  I have not yet experienced all there is, and life still holds mysteries for me to uncover.  I feel for those of you who are so young, but already dead inside.

* I don't wear just black. In the winter I wear a black wool trench coat to keep me warm, not to increase my intimidation factor.

* I'm not a Vampire or Vampyre, or any other mythical/supernatural creature. I don't wear fangs, and do not fake a European accent.

* I do not wear costumes from HotTopic, white face paint, or paint spiderwebs on the corner of my eye. I don't think poorly of those who do, I just choose not to. I don't think I look good in spider webs.

* I personally do not like Marilyn Manson. I don't care if you do. I won't waste my time by judging you on your musical preference.

I write this pseudo-disclaimer, knowing that some illiterate redneck, or "Gothier-than thou" elitist with a dial-up connection, Netscape 3x, and too much time on their hands, is going to write me or post on their site detailing just how "un-goth" or un-cool I am.
